Summit Carpet Care

Summit Carpet Care began in the early 1980's.  Park City was a much smaller "town" than today, and the opportunity to earn a living after the ski season was difficult.  So, three ski instructors formed Summit Carpet Care.  Since then there have been a few owners that have always taken great care of their customers.  My wife, Erin, and I purchased Summit Carpet Care(SCC) in 2004.(We were repeat customers of SCC, and knew how well we were taken care of)  It was our desire to build on the great service and care that had been provided to the clients of SCC.  We have taken extreme care to build our business without sacrificng our commitment to service excellence.  Today, SCC is a year round full time carpet cleaning, and flood restoration company. 

I stress on every job, that we do that task the absolute right way every time.  Our employees are told, "IF you take care of the details, every time, the details will take of you".  We are not perfect, however, we will do all we can to do every job the right way.

Our Business

Here at Summit Carpet Care we do our very best to meet the needs of our customers.  We answer our phone, or if it goes to voice mail, we return our calls.  When we have an appointment scheduled we show up, on time.  If, after cleaning, a spot resurfaces we will come back at no charge(pet urine may require a charge) to re treat that area.  Our employees are clean responsible family men.  I realize that most of our client interactions are with women, so I make sure that any employee that arrives for an appointment is neat, clean, non-smoking, polite, well trained, and responsible.  

I have gone through extensive training, and testing.  Each year I go through refresher courses, and often times new certifications.  We are IICRC* certified in Carpet Cleaning, Flood Water Restoration, Basic Carpet Repair, and have taken training courses for Upholestry cleaning, spotting techniques, and tile/grout cleaning.

Who We Are

Erin and I (Dave Myers) moved to Park City in 1999.  We came to Park City from Pittsburgh Pa, where we had been working with the  Ministry of Young Life. www.younglife.org  Prior to that we had been in Columbus Ohio.  Erin as a Kindergarten teacher(graduate of Bowling Green University), and I was working as V.P. of Sales for Mayflower Transit, the moving company(graduate of Miami University, Oxford Ohio). 

We both worked with Young Life in Columbus, OH .  We are "Buckeyes", and during the college football season you can see the "Buckeye" flag waiving in front of our home.  We relocated to Utah to help start Young Life in Salt Lake City.  Since 1999 we have  worked with students in SLC, and in Park City.  I have spent several years providing training to new leaders for the ministry.  Young Life gets its support(funding) from the community where it exsists.  That means people give money to support a staff person(s).  Erin and I decided to be "unpaid staff" here in Utah.  That meant we needed to find suitable employment to meet our financial needs.  When we moved here we had no children, and one dog.  We now have five,(as of 2009) yes 5, children, and one dog.   We clean our carpets every few months or so, as you can well imagine.

So, I started a company in 2003, Clean Water Systems. 649.5855 We install and service water-softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and other water related systems.  In 2004, I bought Summit Carpet Care as a great complimentery company to Clean Water Systems.
